For years, the Stradic has been synonymous with quality that doesn’t break the bank. And rightly so, because it does everything so well. Versatile enough in the smaller sizes for finesse fishing, and tough enough in the medium and larger sizes for big predators, the Stradic is a timeless reel that continues—and will continue—to impress anglers around the world.
Whether you’re the type of angler who uses different methods for different species or a specialist angler, there’s a model in the Stradic range for you. It sits perfectly in the middle of the Coresolid range and offers a substantial amount of technology at a very reasonable price. It’s a reel trusted by countless anglers around the world, and if it’s tough enough to tame tarpon in Florida, it’ll handle anything you can catch in Europe. In other words, you can trust the Stradic FL never to let you down.
The Stradic features some of Shimano’s best HAGANE technologies, including HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, Micro Module II and Silent Drive. This quartet of features, housed in the HAGANE body, delivers the unwavering smoothness you feel when using the Stradic and provides reassuring power when you need it most. The fight is precise thanks to the Cross Carbon drag washers, which perform superbly under moderate and extreme pressure. The addition of X-Protect means you can use this reel for everything from light rockfishing to saltwater bass lure fishing, as well as in all freshwater environments. The addition of a Long Stroke AR-C spool further enhances the versatility of this long-standing Shimano classic.

• One of Shimano’s most popular and versatile front-drag reels
• HAGANE Gear, X-SHIP, MicroModule and SilentDrive combine perfectly to deliver an exquisitely smooth, quiet and light rotation
• X-Protect waterproof protection for saltwater use
• The AR-C Long Stroke spool increases casting distance
• Aero Wrap for excellent line lay
• Sealed drag with cross-carbon washer
