MOONLIGHT

Moonlight, whose full name is Moonlight Mountain Gear, is a Norwegian company based in Åndalsnes, in Romsdal. Founded in 2014 by a Frenchman, it describes itself as “born in the Arctic” and makes lighting for mountain sports, as well as touring skis.

Its Bright As Day head torches range from the 800 to the 4000, while the Noctia range completes the line-up. The brand highlights consistent lighting, replaceable lithium-ion batteries worn at the back of the head or carried remotely, and buttons that can be operated while wearing gloves. Helmet and handlebar mounts also let you attach them to a bike. For anglers, these head torches light the way to a fishing spot at night and during sessions when you need to see far out across the water.
