The Speedmaster Deep Drop was developed exclusively for deep-sea fishing with Shimano electric reels and features spiral-wrapped guides for maximum action. A quick glance at the Speedmaster Deep Drop is enough to understand that it is a very special rod.

Designed for fishing in the deepest waters with Shimano electric reels, the Speedmaster Deep Drop features spiral-wrapped guides for maximum action. You may think they look a little unusual, but they really improve the action by guiding the line towards the underside of the blank. This simple design variation keeps the line away from the blank during compression and maximizes the powerful, progressive action by reducing blank twist.

The 1+1 blank (detachable handle) is made from a blend of carbon technologies — Full Carbon, HPC, Nanosheet and Biofibre. This combination not only provides the immense strength and durability you need to fish in the deepest waters, but also allows the progressive action to compensate for any sudden and unexpected increase in pressure when fighting the fish.

As you would expect from this type of rod, the components are absolutely first class. The Fuji guides, aluminium reel seat and easy-to-grip EVA handle fit the blank perfectly. The guides are wrapped with silver and red thread for added strength and aesthetics. You can choose from three models in the range, all measuring 1.80 m and available in the 200-600g, 500-1000g and 800-1500g categories. Perfect for serious deep-sea anglers who understand the advantages of electric reels, the Speedmaster Deep Drop is ideal for fishing for squid, grouper and other large deep-sea fish around the world.
